Author/Playwright Troy Bruckner's introduction to Mississippi: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

What a week it has been for For The People Productions and its clients!

This week we were able to support Conversations Book Club as it hosted national bestselling author Reshonda Tate Billingsley.

And just today we finished two days of activity with author/playwright Troy Bruckner, whose book A BIRD IN FLIGHT ON BROKEN WINGS has been translated into a play that will be visiting Jackson, Mississippi in April 2007. For more information on how you can support the play or purchase the book, click here.

Later this month we will be aiding in the visit of National Bestselling author K-Elliott, whose book SKI-MASK WAY with 50 Cent has gotten him critical acclaim.

We are on the move and have many more events coming up in the near future! Thank you for all of your support.

For The People Productions and Shadow Play Entertainment prepare for CONTROVERSY

When FTP President Stanley Clark hired C. A. Webb as his Chief of Staff, he knew the move would bring with it new adventures as well as a whole new flow of clientele. That was first evident when Webb brought his popular Conversations brand under the FTP name and then began the process to incorporate the growing public relations firm in his other events.

In April 2007, however, a new project will bring For The People Productions and Shadow Play Entertainment together in an entirely different way.

Webb's sophomore spoken word release, MY CONTROVERSY, will be released on Friday, April 13th, under the direction of FTP ans SPE--- however, Webb has hand-picked Clark to oversee the promotion of the project.

Already praised by critics and poetry lovers alike, MY CONTROVERSY tackles everything from self-awareness, suicide, spirituality, HIV/AIDS awareness, relationships and intimacy. When discussing the project, Webb says that he wants it to be his biggest project to date, and has set a goal of 10,000 being sold in 2007.

Continue to visit www.cawebb.com and this site for all the updates and current promotional information. You are also able to get a sneak preview to the project online.

FTP ends "Know Thyself Month" with Portrait Presentation

On Wednesday, February 28, 2007 Stanley Clark (President) and C. A. Webb (Chief of Staff) of For The People Productions presented librarians Laura Turner (Medgar Evers Library) and Debra Gilbert (Richard Wright Library) with original artwork to be showcased in their artwork. The portraits of Richard Wright and Medgar Evers, valued at $300 each, were donated to the libraries as a symbol of their partnership with For The People Productions and its client Conversations Book Club.

Earlier in the month, Conversations Book Club donated a combined total of $1000 worth of brand new books to the two libraries as part of its READ MY LIPS LITERACY PROJECT.
Present for the presentation was James Foster, photojournalist for 16 WAPT.
