FTP Hosts Press Conference with Conversations Book Club--- Tuesday, July 17, 2007

This is to inform you that Conversations Book Club will be holding a special lunch-time press conference on Tuesday, July 17, 2007. This will take place at the Subway Restaurant (3000 HWY 80 E) in Pearl, MS (across the highway from Roses) at 2p.m.

The public (including librarians and local business owners) is invited to attend as Conversations Book Club president C. A. Webb, the owners of Subway Restaurant in Pearl and others talk about their strategy to combat illiteracy in Mississippi one city at a time. Webb is the President of The Rankin County Arts Alliance, and he will also be discussing how the group will be using its presence to encourage effective reading programs as well.

Food discounts will be offered to those who attend the special one hour meeting.

Items on the agenda include the following:
Progress report of the book club franchise since its inception in November 2006.
Announcement of the final book clubs that will come under the Conversations Brand.
Information about the upcoming commercials that will feature the group's slogan "JOIN THE ADDICTION: Get Hooked on Books".
Conversations Book Club involvment in the final Harry Potter book release and its partnership with Waldenbooks Metrocenter and other businesses to encourage reading.
Upcoming authors that will be visiting the state as part of Conversations' literacy program.
How book lovers are joining together to encourage young and old to read.
