For The People Productions Discusses Business Development with students at Pearl High School (Mississippi)

On Thursday, February 22nd and Friday, February 23rd, C. A. Webb, the Chief of Staff for For The People Productions spoke at Pearl High School with students under the direction of educator/long-time friend Mrs. Elaine Bridges. This came just days after Webb spoke at the Hinds Community College in Utica on Monday, February 19, 2007.

FTP, Real Roots Productions and Conversations Book Club prepare for the re-grand opening of Real Root Bar & Grill--- Saturday, February 24, 2007

When Real Roots Bar and Grill opened its doors in January 2002, it was with the purpose of providing excellent food and service at a price that would keep its customers coming back for more. Now, in January 2007--- five years later---it has recommitted itself to the same and more for the people of Pickens and beyond.

On Saturday, February 24, 2007 Real Roots Bar and Grill will host its Grand Reopening extravaganza... and YOU are invited.

Beginning at 11a.m. join us in live entertainment, good food and the introduction of its "Artist of the Month" program that will host a different visual artist each month of the walls of Real Roots.

Also joining the day's events is Bestselling author Alisha Yvonne (author of LOVIN' YOU IS WRONG, AROUND THE WAY GIRLS 3, and I DON'T WANNA BE RIGHT-- seen below). FTP Hosts "Separate but Equal? African American Authors in Bookstores"---- Friday, March 2, 2007

For The People Productions, along with its client Conversations Book Club, is always looking for avenues to not only encourage reading but open up dialogue as well among book-lovers. It is with this in mind that is announces the first of many discussions geared at addressing the challenges that authors face when marketing their books.

On Friday, March 2, 2007 we will host "SEPARATE BUT EQUAL? African American Authors in Bookstores". This discussion will take place at the Medgar Evers Library meeting room (4215 Medgar Evers Blvd./Jackson, MS) beginning at 6p.m. The focus will be addressing the pros and cons of separating authors by race in chain bookstores as well as how it affects the sales of the authors and their ability to reach a wider audience.

The guest author for the discussion will be bestselling horror author Brandon Massey(seen below), who discussed this subject with the Wall Street Journal in December 2006. He will be joining the group via conference call.


This event is free to the public and all book lovers are invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

FTP Press Conference Introduces New Artwork, New Relationships



On Friday, February 2, 2007 Stanley Clark, President of For The People Productions pubic relations firm presented Ms. Laura Turner of Medgar Evers Library with the original picture seen above. The pen and ink/pencil drawing was donated by artist C. A. Webb for the occasion. Look for prints to be available to the public very soon!

For The People Productions used the press conference to also talk about upcoming projects, including the promoting of the play PASSION FOR JUSTICE by Troy Bruckner (see details on the left).
